Supporting the Arts in the Cowichan Valley.
Artistic talent within the Cowichan valley is amazing!! You don’t have to drive the Malahat or take the ferry to Vancouver to see a good concert. There are many Arts groups in the area that would love to have and need our support.
We are so fortunate to have a wonderful facility like the Cowichan Theatre within our Island Savings Centre. It has a larger than most stage and is well equipped to handle terrific concerts and arts events throughout the year. However, it is not inexpensive to use and many Island groups that bring us wonderful concerts throughout the year struggle financially, due in part to a dwindling audience. A full house is necessary if they are to use this great facility to bring us the exceptionally good quality performances we are used to. The Christmas season allows us to enjoy what is on offer more than any other time of the year. Why not give some concert tickets as early Christmas gifts this year or add them to Christmas stockings for a treat later on in the year?
Check out these websites at www.cowichanconsort.com and www.palmcourtorchestra.com for more details on their upcoming shows and be sure to check the concert schedule at the Island Savings Centre.
Don’t forget that for some shows , letting the box office know you are a Carlson’s student or parent gives you a discount on your tickets! Even more incentive to be a theatre goer!

Please leave all cell phones out in the changing room . If you need to bring it into the studio to keep it safe Do Not check it during class time!! Please respect your class mates and teacher and focus on your class.
When the school board calls a snow day we do too! No dance on snow days.
Please make sure you meet the deadlines for exam entries, solo entries and costume fees!
Thank-you for getting your children to class on time. Please don't forget to pick them up on time too!
