Please leave all cell phones out in the changing room . If you need to bring it into the studio to keep it safe Do Not check it during class time!! Please respect your class mates and teacher and focus on your class.

Welcome to Carlson's School of Dance
Welcome to another year of Dance at Carlson's where friendships, memories and dance experiences have been created since 1955, giving us some 3rd generation dancers amongst us! From small beginnings with a great vision we now have 4 studios with close to one hundred classes to suit everyone's needs. Whether you are a young student or an adult , a serious dancer looking for tecnique classes or want to dance for fun and recreation we have classes to offer for everyone from 3 years old to adult in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, contemporary and Zumba.
Provincial Competition coming soon!
Provincial Competitions are to be in Nanaimo this year .... very close to home! Put these dates on your calandar and head up to see some excellent dance from around the province. May 27th -31st are the dates to remember.

Picture Day
Picture Day is May 26th at the Island Savings Centre. there are no classes scheduled on this day.
Some important things to be aware of .....
Photo times are published on the news letter that has gone home with photo envelopes. Please be ready 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
Please make sure you have your envelopes filled out ,there must be one for each individual class photo.
Ensure that all of your costume arrives with you, including shoes, tights and anything you may need for your hair.
How to order your Recital DVDs
DVDs will be taken of all 3 recitals. They must be pre ordered with a payment of $20 per DVD by the end of the dance yer (June 16th) Order envelopes will be available in the studio dressing rooms and can be returned to the office or your teacher during registration from June 11th - 15th. Envelopes will also be available on picture day , May 26 th and oders can be completed then .
Early Registration
This year we are changing our format for 2012/13 registration. We are taking registration in June so everyone has the chance to organize the season before its upon us!
When the school board calls a snow day we do too! No dance on snow days.
Please make sure you meet the deadlines for exam entries, solo entries and costume fees!
Give your teacher plenty of warning if you are away for festival or the recital!
Thank-you for getting your children to class on time. Please don't forget to pick them up on time too!
